This is for Motorola cell phone users out there...I used this on a C975, I'm not sure about other
models but I'm pretty sure its almost about the same.
Here's what you need:
Motorola_MIDway_v2.8
JADMaker (or maybe JADGen)
Other useful software include Motorola's PST which are used to update/flash and do other mods to the phone. I've heard pkman is also a useful software but to d/l games I guess Midway and JADMaker will suffice.
Here's what to do:
(Instructions from Midway)
Dont connect the cable yet.
1). Power up the Phone.
2). In the phone select Menu->Settings->Java Settings->Java App Loader.
3). It shows a Dialog on the screen "Insert Cable Now"
4). Insert USB Cable.
5). The phone should display "Jal Link is active."
6). Run MIDway
7). In MIDway, select menu item File->Settings... and change COM Port (The COM Port should be set to the same as the Motorola USB modem is set in Device Manager)
8). From File Menu on MIDway select "Open JAD..." 9). Select appropriate JAD file from your computer.
9). Click on "Send JAD" icon. Some information from JAD File will be displayed on the Phone Screen. If Right Soft Key reads "More" select it. It should then display "DOWNLD". Select "DOWNLD". This will start downloading the JAR file from computer to phone. Upon download successful, it starts installing the application. When installed successfully, the phone displays
"Run
If you are planning to download more games, select "NO" otherwise follow steps 8-9 again.
All downloaded applications are listed under "Games & Apps"
JADMaker is used to make .jad files from .jar files. The .jad file contains information about the jar file and is just needed by Midway anyways.
Cant find the above apps? Dunno why they're hidden pretty deep somewhere. Try these links before they become dead.
